On Wednesday, Sept 29 around 9:49am, the GRANT server appears to have gone down. I arrived at WWVA at 11:04 and we were able to restore operation by 11:30. We have not yet been able to identify a root cause, or locate any problems in the system logs. We suspect the outage was caused by failing hardware. I apologize for the disruption I'm sure this caused.
GRANT was scheduled to be replaced during Thanksgiving Vacation. Based on this outage, we may move the replacement date up to during the Columbus day long weekend October 8-11. I will post additional announcements related to this here.
